About this 2 day Excursion from MarraKech to the Zagora Desert.
This two-day Shared excursion starts in Marrakech and takes you to the Zagora desert. On the way, you’ll journey through the High Atlas Mountains, explore the Ait-Ben-Haddou Kasbah, traverse the Draa Valley, and visit the Zagora Palm Grove. You’ll spend a magical night in a desert stundart camp.
Picture yourself riding a camel at sunset to your desert camp, where a traditional Moroccan dinner is ready for you, followed by a campfire and music under the stars. This two-day adventure is sure to leave you breathless.

Driving Time: 5 hours 55 minutes
Our adventure begins in the vibrant city of Marrakech, where we will pick you up from your hotel or Riad and set off towards the majestic High Atlas Mountains. We will navigate the winding roads up to the Tizi N’Tichka pass, situated at 2260 meters. After crossing the pass, our journey will take us to the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, near the city of Ouarzazate.
Following a tour of this historic site, we will traverse the Tabounte valley and proceed to the Berber village of Agdz. Agdz, meaning “resting place,” is a small but historically significant village that once played a key role in the exchange of goods across the Sahara, being situated along the ancient caravan route linking Marrakech to Timbuktu.
After a brief stop in Agdz, we will continue through the scenic Draa Valley, arriving at the Zagora Palm Grove. From there, we will embark on a camel trek to our desert camp, where we will be welcomed with dinner and spend the night in an authentic Berber tent.
Driving Time: 5 hours 55 minutes
After breakfast, we will start our journey back to Marrakech. Our route will take us through Ouarzazate, followed by a scenic drive across the High Atlas Mountains. We are expected to arrive in Marrakech by evening.
