This 3 Day Fes To Marrakech Desert Trip is a shared group tour is the reverse-direction sister of our Marrakech-to-Fes desert crossing — starting in the imperial city of Fes and ending in Marrakech, with a night in the Sahara dunes at Merzouga Desert, in between. You travel south through the cedar forests of Ifrane and the dramatic Ziz Valley gorge into the desert, spend a night in a shared Berber camp watching the sunset and sunrise over the Erg Chebbi dunes, then continue west through Todra Gorge, the Dades Valley, and the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, crossing the High Atlas to finish in Marrakech.
This is the ideal option if your trip begins in Fes and you want to reach Marrakech without backtracking — combining the Sahara desert experience with a one-way route through the south. You travel by shared, air-conditioned minibus with a small group of fellow travelers, with one night in a shared desert camp at Merzouga and one night in a standard hotel in the Dades Valley or Todra Gorge area.
