Day 1 : Art Deco city Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Skoura – Dades Valley
Private pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad. Drive southeast over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass through the High Atlas, with stops at the mountain viewpoints. Visit the UNESCO kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou — a fortified earthen ksar used in Lawrence of Arabia, Gladiator, and Game of Thrones, with a guided walk through the ksar to the ancient granary at the summit. Continue to the Skoura palm oasis — 5,000 hectares of date palms laced with ancient irrigation channels. Visit Kasbah Amridil — one of the most beautifully preserved kasbahs in Morocco. Day 2 :Todra Gorge – Rissani – Merzouga
Morning drive through the spectacular Dades Gorge with its red rock formations and kasbah villages. Continue to Todra Gorge — walk the canyon floor between its towering 300m limestone walls. Continue east through Rissani — the historic capital of the Tafilalt and the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty that has ruled Morocco since 1666. Visit the Rissani souk — one of the most authentic rural markets in Morocco. Continue to Merzouga, arriving at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes in the late afternoon. Mount your camel for a guided sunset trek into the dunes, arriving at your luxury desert camp as the sky turns gold. Traditional Moroccan dinner by firelight with live Gnawa drumming under the stars. Day 3 Merzouga Desert— Full Sahara Day
Wake before sunrise for the dawn over the Erg Chebbi. Camel ride back to Merzouga village after breakfast. The day is entirely yours: a guided 4×4 dune excursion deep into the Sahara, sandboarding, a visit to the Gnawa musicians’ village of Khamlia, a visit to a traditional Berber nomad family near the dunes, exploration of the fossil and mineral market of the Tafilalt, or simply resting on your hotel terrace watching the light shift across the dunes through the day. Day 4 : Merzouga – Ziz Valley fi Ifrane – Fes
Morning departure north from the Sahara. Drive through the dramatic Ziz Valley gorge — a canyon lined with hundreds of thousands of date palms. Cross the Middle Atlas plateau through Midelt. Continue to Ifrane — Morocco’s alpine town built by the French in the 1930s in the style of a Swiss mountain village — and the cedar forests of Azrou, where Barbary macaques roam freely through the ancient trees. Day 5 Fes Guided City Tour
A complete guided day inside Fes el-Bali — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the world’s largest living car-free urban area. Your licensed local guide leads you through the Chouara Tanneries, the Bou Inania Madrasa, the Al-Attarine Madrasa, the Kairaouine Mosque and University (founded 859 AD, the world’s oldest continuously operating university), the spice and brass souks, and the Mellah — the ancient Jewish quarter.
