How is this different from a shared group tour to the same places?
This tour uses a private vehicle and driver exclusively for your group, with no fixed schedule and no other travelers joining you. You choose your pickup time, how long to spend at each stop, your overnight location (Dades or Skoura), and your camp level (standard or luxury). A shared group tour follows a fixed itinerary on a shared minibus with other travelers and is priced lower as a result.
Can I choose between Dades Valley and Skoura for Day 1?
Yes. Dades Valley offers dramatic gorge and kasbah scenery; Skoura is a quieter palm oasis with the well-preserved Kasbah Amridil. Tell us your preference when booking, or ask your guide to recommend one based on the season.
Is the camel ride to the desert camp required?
No. A 4×4 transfer to and from the camp is available instead, on request — useful for travelers with back or mobility concerns, or simply a preference not to ride.
What is the difference between the standard and luxury desert camp?
The standard camp offers comfortable shared-style Berber tents with shared bathroom facilities. The luxury camp offers private en-suite tents with proper beds, private bathrooms, and a more upscale dining setup. Both include the same camel trek, sunset, and sunrise experience — the difference is in comfort level, not in the activities.
Can this tour end with a drop-off at Marrakech Airport instead of my hotel?
Yes. Tell us your flight time when booking and we will time the Day 3 return drive so you arrive at the airport with a comfortable margin.
Is this tour suitable for families with children?
Yes. The pace, stops, and timing are entirely flexible, which makes this tour easier to manage with children than a fixed-schedule group tour. The camel ride has a 4×4 alternative if preferred.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking at least a few days in advance to guarantee your preferred desert camp level and hotel availability, especially during high season (March–May and September–November).
Tell us your preferred dates, choice of overnight stop (Dades Valley or Skoura), desert camp level (standard or luxury), and group size. We confirm availability and send your personalized quote within 24 hours.
